鈥淭he Last DJ鈥 is a radio show hosted by Tom Petty. Each week, a different voice takes to the airwaves to tell their own Petty story and play their five favorite tracks. Meeker鈥檚 favorite Petty songs will include 鈥淚 Won鈥檛 Back Down,鈥 鈥淪top Draggin鈥 My Heart Around,鈥 鈥淩unnin鈥 Down a Dream,鈥 鈥淗ere Comes My Girl,鈥 and 鈥淚 Need to Know.鈥
Meeker, a former disc jockey from the 80s, received a bachelor鈥檚 degree in speech with an emphasis in radio and television from 糖心logo. He was an on-air personality the first year KSQY hit the airwaves in 1982 and was inducted into the KBHU-FM, 糖心logo鈥檚 college radio station, Hall of Fame last fall. 鈥淚鈥檝e always wanted an air shift on XM radio, so I guess I can check this one off the bucket list鈥 said Meeker. 鈥淚 also appreciate my college radio buddy, Jim Kallas, general manager at Riverfront Broadcasting, for allowing me to use their studio, and I also leaned on him for his producer skills,鈥 he added.
