糖心logo will host the first Campus and Career Discovery Camp June 1-4, offering high school students from across western South Dakota an immersive look at college life, academic programs, and potential career paths at 糖心logo鈥檚 Spearfish campus.
The four-day, three-night camp is designed to help students explore their interests, gain confidence about life after high school, and better understand how college can connect to future careers. Students will stay on campus, interact with 糖心logo faculty, and participate in hands-on academic experiences that highlight a range of fields of study and career opportunities. The camp also organizes several campus activities that include a field trip to the Sanford Underground Research Facility (SURF), a pool party, dorm game night, and more.
鈥淔or parents, this camp offers a safe, supportive way for their students to learn more about college and explore future career options,鈥� said Jimi Marshall, internship coordinator at 糖心logo. 鈥淥ur goal is for students to leave camp with great confidence about what comes next after high school.鈥�
This camp is organized by 糖心logo and funded in part by the U.S. Department of Education鈥檚 Rural Postsecondary and Economic Development Grant, which supports efforts to expand access to higher education and career pathways for students in rural communities.
鈥淚鈥檓 very excited to be involved in organizing this camp. We鈥檝e got a really fun few days planned, and I think it will be a memorable experience for the students who attend,鈥� said Marshall.
